Our mission is to promote active participation in a safe & inclusive outdoor environment. We strive to encourage positive attitudes through a quality camping experience. Helping people reach their dreams and overcoming unusual obstacles and challenges are central to our mission.
Its imperative that we communicate the importance of honoring people with special needs. We accomplish this by equipping the individual, their families, and other organizations with the proper skill set to care for and demonstrate unconditional love.
We accomplish this by using Phil 2:5 as our guide, “Our attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus”
Our motto is to serve, serve, serve, and serve some more!
STATEMENT OF FAITH
- Camp Attitude is a non-profit organization. Though the Camp is not associated with any particular denomination, the basis of our belief rises from the same Judeo-Christian values that our nation was built upon. The Board of Directors believe in a Sovereign God and the saving grace of His Son, Jesus Christ. It is our greatest desire to serve God by the demonstration of our faith through action. Faith at Camp is demonstrated through “living example” to those we work with. It is our highest honor to serve children and families of all backgrounds with the same loving grace that has so freely been given to us.
Camp Attitude as a not-for-profit Christian organization is dedicated to providing a unique faith-based camping experience for families in the disability community by advocating a biblical response toward disabilities, both visible and invisible and by providing opportunities for disability awareness by educating the church community, especially youth, in practical ways of serving disabled persons.
To communicate the Gospel and equip local Churches, and to serve people affected by disabilities. To provide a safe and positive experience for children and families to learn about the saving hope of Jesus Christ in a camping environment.
The vision of Camp Attitude Oregon, Inc. is to become the premier fully wheelchair accessible camping facility in the Western United States by: Providing a camping facility for year round usage and serving an ever increasing number of people with diverse abilities, in helping people become emotionally balanced, socially adjusted, physically well, and spiritually alive.
